is it not a coincidince that brand new protos break all the time or last ages, break them in and Im sure theyll last you alot longer.although you really shouldnt have to do that, if you want protos id say why not break them in

They gripper you see that are dehubbed are always in new condition. There's more urethane on the wheel which makes it easier to dehub. WEAR YOUR FUCKING WHEELS IN, KIDDOS. Oh and lay off the flyout. I have only ridden proto wheels all of my life and I have never gotten close to dehubbing any of them.

NO. I like the amount of urethane that comes on the protos. It makes them look so sick and legit.

Exactly. Its not usually the wheel, its the rider. If you land sketch 540 flyout then no shit your wheel will dehub especially if ut hasn't been worn in

I know there are some defects but I've had a pair of sliders for a year now , I'm 158 pounds and ride street really hard and have cased the sh*t out of my back wheel a few times and have never came close to chunking or defining them.

Ive had 4 pairs of grippers since (and including) the very first batch. Ive never chunked one to the point of being done until now and Ive been on this pair for like 8/9 months.
Cool story bro, I know, but I dont get how theres soooo many fucked up protos in here all ther time. Everyone I ride with in person has never had a problem with Protos, its weird.

older batch of proto's was much better than the newer batch

This is either selection bias or confirmation bias, I forget which. The only ones you see broken are the ones that aren't worn in, which are always the newest ones. All the new ones that don't break aren't posted in here. Then everyone with old wheels that haven't broken yet come and say that you need to wear them in, which then people respond by saying that the old batch was better than the new batch, while ignoring all the old ones that also were dehubbed. The people with old ones can't make a proper experiment between the two batches, as they don't ever buy new batch wheels because their old ones still work.
