If you want it to last forever and run scs, I would stick a solid aluminum rod into the fork tube all the way down but leave the top open for a starnut.

Yeah it did snap right below the starnut. And when the fork snapped it put two fucking cracks in the hole on the headtube at the front of my addict.

Yeah i have seen that too where that happens. I saw once where one cracked there and the welding behind the bottom cup breaks too. I think i saw some pictures of the same thing happening before when i was looking at this thread.
