I did break them in. This was my backwheel and i dont even know how that happened. It just came off one day.
And Rob, it´s not dyed. It´s the dylan kasson signature, which looks like this.

from my experiences, it does nothing.
i got grippers, didn't ride them for like a month, then broke them in, and they started dehubbing in 3 weeks. i didnt break in vertx or pro comp wheels and they wore out before they showed any signs of dehubbing or chunking.

well when you have protos you defianatly wanna break them in, how long did you ride a wheel on the front before you put it on the back issac

i had vertx wheels and i really didnt like them. they were the worst feeling wheels ive ever had.
dewey, i put them on at the same time, but my front wheel started dehubbing first.

I've ridden both VertX and Protos, and I must say my sliders feel 10x better, but mine started to dehub with in the first few weeks I had them (but they're from the defective batch) VertX wheels last for a good while I've had my 100s for 6 months with little to no chunks, and for 10 dollars less per wheel. So if your a sketchy rider like me, definitely get VertX wheels.

They are doing their urethane in in shop now it's a lot better

vertx did tell me that they fixed their urethane. they also told me they were going to give me a new pair since i had a lot of problems with mine. but they haven't replied to my emails in a while :/
