First car, 2000 saturn SL with 54,000 miles.
After a trip to TIC, someone decided to cut me off (and i demolished their car.. had witnesses against them too.) thanks to "No fault" insurance, I got 5 grand from it (bought for 5500..). Hated it. Had more problems than most drug addicts.

Now:

2002 Saturn SC-2 three door coupe.
bought with 70k miles on it, $7,200. It's my dream car and I love it. The suicide door is stupidly convenient, and it sips gas. I couldn't ask for much more. It was a little out of my favored price range, but oh so worth it.

This. LOL at the American car industry trying to give all the new sports cars an "old" look. The new Challanger is ugly as ----- along with the Camaro. Mustangs from the 80s up make me wanna shit all over the place and the retards that wasted their money on a pony ass ride. Pour rice all over me. Asians can make a damn fine looking car and chances are its gonna run for a lonnggg time if maintained properly.

my dads toy now and mine at 16 hopefully... 02 i believe trans am, 6 speed, all alu block and heads, carbon fiber hood and all kinds of other wirly gigs i could go on and on about. top speed that its been to is 120 mph. she had plenty in her too.

You can drive on learners when your 16 in Australia so i think it might be the same.

Depending on the state. Department of motor vehicles is a state, not federal, agency. In New York, you can get a learner's permit at age 16.

I believe majority of states it is 16 for drivers permit then you have to wait 6 months+drive 50 hours to take you license test (50 hours is recorded by your mom writing on a piece of paper LOL). Some places are starting to pull 18 years old to get license, which I think is a good move.
