i don't get the common idea that bands have to have talent to make music. music is much more about creativity than talent.

i mean, look at bob dylan. regarded as one of the best artists in modern times by anyone in music who's opinion matters. and for his most famous stuff, it was him playing simple chord structures on an acoustic guitar with a little harmonica. anyone that has been playing guitar for a month can play just about any dylan song, and probably sing it better.

does his lack of talent mean it wasn't some of the most influential music created in the last 50 years? no, not at all.

being creative is having a talent in a sense though. to me talent and creativity are pretty much the same thing.

blink 182 has neither. travis barker could get so much farther without blink. hes the only one that i think has a gift. but its an opinion thing
