how long have u had ur RUP bars for without them rusting and what did u use as protection to stop them rusting as i rawed them and used marine varnish (i know its not ideal but its all i had) and theyve started to rust in about 2-3 weeks so i wanna know a good laquer or something to use on them so they wont rust. one problem is though that i raweb them ages ago before i knew what to do properly and used a file for some of it creating scratches in the metal and that seems to be where its started to rust.

i sanded them and coated them in wd 40 and its been like that for like 3 - 4 weeks

no its actually easier for me. the length doesnt really effect me. the deck is pretty light
