They have a cover over the bearings, but it can be removed if you take this retaining ring out from above it. When you take the cover off the bearings are all individual and completely removable

When you clean the bearings and put your own preferred lube/grease in it with your preferred amount it's just perfect. My headset spins so quick now
And it's doesn't get as dirty as unsealed
