The kid has my respect for being a good rider, but the company attracts a younger crowd which we don't want.
I haven't ridden a v1 for SO long so I don't remember the weight. I had a completely different setup back then. I love the feel of it, just I don't know if i should really trust it riding street. I bar'd like a 4.5 foot ledge and it was still perfect, and I've ridden park a LOT lately, so I'm sure I'll be fine for a while. It really is SOOO nice.
