the purpose of scs is to be a better more reliable method of compressing your headset the then standard threaded lock ring and it still does that just fine. sure the fork isnt exactly designed for that and the threads weaken it a bit but it doesnt effect how well the scs works at all...

if you use scs with a threaded fork, you will ruin the scs.

It's designed as a compression system. A compression system is designed for threadless forks. He still has the locknut on there regardless so the scs is doing nothing but destroying the threads and making his bars taller.

no actually you dont, i ran scs with my ultra pro fork till i got a stricker and both the ultra pork fork and scs were just fine. dont post saying something unless you have actual experience to back it up...

he doesnt need to have a locknut on there if he puts a starnut in the fork and then actually takes advantage of the compression aspect of the scs but there is still nothing wrong with just using it as a clamp if you dont want to put slits in your bars. also the compression system is designed so that you can use it with threadless forks (which are better for numerous reasons) however it is not limited to being used with onely them...

they actually don't, they destroy your SCS. The SCS is made out of aluminum, and the fork is made out of (idk?) but its a harder metal. And what happens when you clamp something soft to something hard? If molds to the shape of the hard piece. Which means you will have threads on your SCS.

just like pro model bars^ and thats what i was saying until i saw that he took the threads off the ultra pro fork making it thread less im just scared his fork tube will snap
