it was like 2 inches or a little less just put your fork in your headtube and put your scs next to it and mark with a sharpie a little below the middle of the scs

I'm running scs right now, but when my nitro gets here, im putting on my thom cats and pry bars and gonna use HIC.
so dont cut my thomcat at all if im using HIC?

ya, just use the HIC shim your mgp comes with, you may need to cut it down a lil though
