Same dude, I got the red ring of death on the 22nd. I asked for games for Christmas too and it pisses me off that I can't play them.

I got it once, I don't really remember what happened but it just stopped working. But we got a warranty thing and just traded it into Best Buy for a new one.

Ive had it once lol, stopped working so I got my dad to show him that I had ring of death and it worked haha and that was like in march so its worked for ages.

i swear every person who has gotten the red ring of death hasn't lurked for shit.

THREE OUT OF FOUR QUARTERS OF THE RING ARE POWER/OVERHEATING PROBLEMS AND CAN BE SOLVED BY UNPLUGGING THE CONSOLE FOR A FEW HOURS, AND MAKING SURE IT HAS PROPER VENTILATING SPACE.

Caps were necessary. I have an eks bawks 360, i've gotten the red ring, and i just unplug it for an hour or so. works fine. Keep it in open air (i.e. not under something, vent space clear) DON'T PLAY FOR HOURS ON END.

h but rob, NO! its a harware failiure commonly found by heat residue building up on the mother board and ethernet or power input, wonder why it gets the rings of death and isnt even hot?

I traded in my Pokemon Crystal because it wouldn't save and got another one and it turns out that that one wouldn't save either. I cryed for about a month.

^^ thats the battery. happened to me on my glitched up pokemon blue last year. oh well.

my story, i get red ring. turn it off and on, its fine. go eat. come back and turn it on, red ring. getting on my nerves. off and on, red ring. wait a few hours, red ring. its the SECOND block thats NOT lit up, so its the fan. which is broken. i buy an external fan a week later, hook everything up, STILL red ring. pissing me off. fuck it im sellin the shit and gettin my money back.

when 3 parts of the circle on your xbox (where you turn it on) turn red. it means theres something wrong and often the xbox needs to be sent to microsoft.
