It means that you mostly ride flat ground, doing things that you wont see often at the skatepark, etc fakeys, scooter fakeys, hang fives list goes on.

yeh w/e, not like your going to get too tech going up a quarter or a half pipe

quarters and half pipes are were tech slams it down
stall variations are very tech , if thrown in with spins in / out , opp tricks , foot-jams and all other coping stall combo variations

my point being. look, its not every day that you see some crazy ass shit up a quarter it does happen and lets just leave it at that.

Super queer.
connot - i agree 10000000% with you but technically tech is considered like basicaly flat ground. little ledges and stuff. if someone did what you said itd be like "ZOMG YOUR GOOD DAKOTA YOUR GAY!?!fgsdn'SLJ" is what that would turn into hahahah

I look at tech as riding that involves less "balls" haha and more, doing tricks that involves a lotttt of skill. But in no way does it have to be on flat. It can be anywhere from BenJ;

Or Raymond Warner's SCSK part. That's got super tech air combos like bar to deck grab to turndown... And of course McKeen can get super tech in street: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELLX5fU88Sg

But yes you can do it flat, too (You could do it anywhere, for that matter). Think of guys like Jordan Jasa, Dan Guetendorff (however you spell his name): Jordan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFiro-okrJo

I even used to ride flat tech. Not many people do anymore. When you think of tech you usually think lots of manuals, scooterfakies and stuff like that... It's kinda true but like I said before, I think of it as riding where you need utmost control, like flatland BMX.
There was sort of a period from the way I look at it, kinda like a "tech" era. Back in like '07-'08', there were a good amount of flatland tech riders.
Just watch TD, like I JUST noticed Joe posted above me haha: http://www.vimeo.com/3315444 I don't know how I forgot that haha.

You get the idea. I feel like I've explained throroughly enough.

Yea tech isnt just flat,its doing combos and tricks that are a lot more comlex than just hucking down a big set or boosting a quarter.
Some amazing tech riders are Mckeen of course, Timur Mamatov,Jon Reyes,Jon Zegarra,etc.

yeah i dont know about mckeen. he can certainly get tech thats for sure. but i would not rate him as a tech rider just because a good amount of his stuff is like huge rails and gaps. i dont know thats just my opinion

i like tech, because you can see more creative ways of doing things rather than just airing ten feet, as much as i would love to be able to do that. i like the old tyler bonner kind of tech. like his 07 video. also jake clark is so good at combos and hangfives its unbelievable
