Would have taken the time to rip him a new asshole in response, but he blocked me. Hahaha.

Ya, because last time I checked, the number of Youtube views or contest wins is what makes the rider great. What a fucking goon.

Whats the story behind this? Just curious.

Exactly what you see in the first line of his comment. I just made a comment on youtube that he had no style, and in response he threw a hissy fit on my channel and then blocked me. The best part is that he didn't even try to address or disprove my opinion that his style sucks, he just went off on a tangent about how famous of a rider he is.

I have yet to even become slightly annoyed by this. I just thought it was pretty funny. Nice try though.

In Australia, barely anyone would know him. The only riders that Australian scooter kids know are the MADD gear team. I don't see how being a good rider/famous rider gives them the right to hate on anyone not as "famous" or as "good" them.

With "his" response, calling you an idiot was really dumb. Especially when your comment is greatly opinionated. You cannot be called an idiot for not liking his style/lack of style nor could you be called an idiot for saying that pasta is better than pizza.

"His" response was a really stupid way to react. He could have just ignored it.

only person i see throwing a hissy fit is you...

He said his opinion, Kota (or whoevers account that is) flipped out. If hes such a great rider, he should be able to take criticism and use it to try and keep getting better. But instead, whenever anyone says they dont love the almighty Kota, someone has a shit fit about it.
I respect Kota as a rider; I respect anyone as a rider. But Kota/Kotasports has an ego that puts them so much higher than the sport itself in their own mind.

Not trying to hate. Like i said, I respect him as a rider and understand his reputation isnt completely his fault.

what gives a not famous person the right to hate on famous person? and he should have just ignored his style and not of posted the comment or this would have never happened..

Same can be said for you posting the comments you're currently posting. Also, "famous" people are supposed to have some dignity and self-restraint, above what is usually expected. Look at it this way, what would happen to Justin Bieber's career (and face) if he flipped shit on every dude who didn't like him?

Or it could work the other way around..
Yeah, it wouldve never started if he didnt post the comment, but did Kota have to come back like that? The "number one" rider shouldnt be talking down on ANYONE in the sport hes allegedly the leader of, no matter what they say. Great way to build an already crumbling reputation.

this is a perfect example of what the sports become. Whatever happened to having fun and riding for yourself, not to be the best in the world.

im not mad? and i would have never posted if you never made this thread.

Like my last response to your post. Instead of saying you wouldnt post IF he didnt make the thread, you should just be mature and not post in it. All youre doing now is making a big game of "what if" and trying to blame R-Dubya for everything.
Its his fault for making the first comment.
You wouldnt post if he didnt make the thread.

None of that matters depending on how people respond. Responses are what make the situation. IF Kota ignored the comment, it wouldve gone no where. IF you ignored the thread, you wouldnt have posted in it. It doesnt matter if he made it or not. If it bothers you that much, then just dont post. No offense but it just seems like youre kinda stirring stuff up. Im not trying to be a dick, but everything youre saying works both ways.

Like Scott is saying, R-Dubya was responsible for posting the comment in the first place. I just think Dakota should of been mature and responsible. He should have just ignored it instead of being egotistical about it.

This is the new facechild of the sport, if and when it goes big Dakota is the next tony hawk. He already makes shitty trick tip videos, throws down mad consistently and lives a seemingly straight edge life. I don't like him because of his shitty business skills, horrid flow, and air of douchebaggery. Needless to say he will have supporters and haters. Which side you pick is entirely up to you, but at this point in time I would advise to steer clear of Kota and affiliated parties as many skaters are going to look towards him and judge the sport accordingly.
