Since they've been for sale in the US, many people ride MGPs, there for sale in stores, and they've came out with numerous models. Before all that, I ordered a normal 2010 Nitro that I still have the deck of, to this day. When I see kids at the skate park with their new Nitro Extremes, and the new fluted decks, I hear nothing but how crappy they are. Is it me or has it not been realized that Madd Gear has been lacking in quality since their outburst of sales? Its kind of sad that I feel like a retard riding a deck that's visually the same as the MGP deck in walmart. Opinions? Anyone else seeing this, or am I just stupid?

So you are saying the new ones are good and the old ones suck, right?
That seems to be the trend of peoples' talk, but I have never seen the new ones before.
I think if MGP made a deck with flat sides and bottom, with the scalloped, integrated headtube, I would totally ride it.

I bought a Ninja Vx2 off of another member here, and I must say its the greatest deck I've riden so far! I'm not sure why but I feel a lot more confident than I did on my DK2

i bought the new end of days nitro extreme forks not even a month ago and it snapped clean a couple of days ago, nearly broke my arms because of them. but i had the old nitro forks a year ago and they survived nearly a year. to me, Madd Gear have begun making lighter products in the expense of weaker parts.

shut up man..... all you ever talk about is vertex..... and i've seen a deck snap and a wheel dehub and a ste of forks snap, i've had far less problems with maddgear.... the world doesnt rotate around vertex!..... you dont even ride vertex parts... you have a blue district with only the forks from vertex, and i must say, they are the ugliest forks i've ever seen in my life

Aha, yeah Im just riding a mgp deck and bars, they've survived over a year and a half. The forks and wheels only lasted about a month but I love my deck, the ht angle, the concave and everything else. i dont parse hate the bars but there not horrible. I snapped a nitro extreme, as well as the end of days deck, and i have yet to have even a crack in my mgp deck and bars.

Seriously bro. Fucking stop it with the MGP hate. Mgp is one of the most legitest companies. There decks are one of the strongest in the world. All you go on about is fucking vertX. vertX that, vertX this. yes, they are good. But you don't need to fucking hate on a LEGIT companies out there. JS.

But on the good side, I love there decks. Who cares if they are heavy. If you care about the weight your a bitch.

gotta say if anything im just disappointed. they dont want to make good parts, all i seen when i was there is they find the easiest way and start there. i offered to help and develop but it only went so far and i couldn't stand riding the deck and only the deck and no compromise was met so i left.

Meh. I like the footjam-ability of them, but I hate how shit they are for finger whips.
Someone needs to make a FJ friendly/fingerwhip friendly deck.

but... most madd parts did suck. bars, forks, wheels etc. I don't mind the decks though.

i remember reading your inteview on dialled mag. what would you do with the deck if you could of got it into production??

MGP is like razor... almost everyone that scooters knows of these companies pretty well, and they also hold alot of the credit for making scootering the sport it is today. I respect that. however i have noticed that the quality of their products has been getting worse since the release of the VX2's. for example i bought a 2010 base model MGP 2 years ago. The bars lasted over a year and i still ride the deck today. i'd say thats pretty impressive for an $80 scooter. now, 2 years later, my friend buys the vx2 version of the base model. it started to have problems within the first day, and the bars were completely shot after a week. he bought it for $160 (twice the price of mine) and returned it in 2 weeks. mgp has refused to refund his money, but said that they can send him new bars. he now has been waiting 2 months for those bars... all i can say is wtf madd gear?
