help, problem with my proto

right so i was just taking my scooter apart, just to clean it, oil it etc etc, and i noticed a few things, first the second bolt up on the proto, doesn't tighten, its just keeps going round, how can i fix this? and is it still safe to ride? should i leave it in or take it out? secondly my starnut in my forks was being weird, the bolt in the starnut was rattling, a tiny bit so i got my hammer to hammer it further in, to install another, and after a few taps it stopped rattling, what does this mean? so yeah, since im off riding for the first time in two weeks tommorow, i don't really want to miss it, so help with this would be awesome.

Take the second bolt out and check if the clamp is still threaded.
Is it a double clamp or a SCS clamp?

Not sure what do you mean by rattling starnuts, but perhaps your first starnut's core was stripped, which made the noise?

oh yeah, its an scs, and i took all my bolts out, the bolts are fine, and the threads in the scs look ok, but i cant be sure, so i guess one of the is stripped.
can i fix this or do i need a new proto? :/
and with the starnut, it was like the bolt was coming away from the plastic, but only slightly

For the second bolt problem i had this and i fixed it by getting a longer bolt.

really? oh i might try get one, but honestly, this proto was of my mate, its really old now, its like one of the earlier models, so i think im just gonna buy a new one, it'll save me so much time and effort. but one last question, whats a good lubricant for the bolts in the scs? because the one im using (obviously) isn't working :/

greaseeee. Oh and dude, you don't need ALL of the bolts I ran an scs with 2 and 3 bolts for like 4 months and was fine. Just use all the bolts you can and tighten it properly and you don't have to waste money.

just like, regular grease? and do i dip them in it or what? naa, i was thinking that, but i rode today, just like chilled spots, and it came loose 4 or 5 times, so i spent my christmas money on a new one, it just saves me tightening it every 45 minutes

Yeah, as long as its greased. Make sure you are tigtening it properly though. or it wont get tight.

It doesn't matter go top to bottom or bottom to top and don't tighten one at a time tighten each bolt a little at a time so your tightening them all equal until there all the way tight

i know but i used to tighten each one from top to bottom, but people keep telling me its meant to be top to bottom to top to bottom, if you get what i mean....

As Conner mentioned it does not matter starting at the Top or Bottom

What DOES matter is that you only tighten each bolt a little and then move on to the next bolt, tighten finger tight, next bolt so on and so on.

Repeat the sequence until you have all the bolts securely tightened- BUt again ... tighten each bolt a little at a time.

Your clamp sides should remain in parallel as you tighten down the clamp

If you tighten down one bolt too much it looks like this /\ and the next bolt will be trying to pull on the 1st bolt's grip.

Reverse the sequence when removing the bolts.
