Cant some 1 give me some tips on how to edit with this. Also some tips on effects... Help would be appreciated! thanks

Well first off, one thing thats cool is the file types supported are AA3, AAF, AIF, ASF, AU, AVI, BMP, BWF, CDA, DIG, DLZ, DPX, DV, EXR, FLAC, GIF, HDP, IVC, JPG, M2T, M2TS, MOV, Sony MXF, MP3, MP4, M4A, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 VIDEO, OGG, OPMA, PCA, PNG, PSD, QT, R3D, SFA, SND, SWF3, TIFF, TGA, VOX, W64, WAV, WDP, WMA, and WMV, so basically anything you could think of.

One cool effect is making the video look like it was shot with fisheye when it wasn't.

You can do this by opening up the Event Pan Crop window once your video is in the main timeline. Click on mask, ( Left bottom corner ). Now select the tool 3rd from the top and make a small box on the video about 1cm - 2cm in from the sides. Now select the tool 5th from the top, and click on all four corners of the box you made and it will give it a rounded look. Make sure your mode is set to positive. Now go to the "positions" box and shrink in the box. Now go to video effects, and select spherize. Drag the big eye on to your footage. Then go to video effects, and select self contrast, and drag warm vignette on to your footage. Now go to vignette, in the warm vignette settings, and drag the strength down till it looks normal. Now your done! Ill add some more tutorials later.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Thats so gross.

Dude just get creative. Learn all of the transitions, get shit flowing. Learn how to use title overlays, than you can get all creative with them with transitions. Speed settings, color correction, audio fades and shit. Just fuck around, thats how you get better

set it all up first, put tabs where u want them, get rid of the mixer display thing its pointless, only have the tabs, explorer, transitions, video effects, media tab and thats all, the explorer is handy get uses to using that, get used to using layers and stuff, yer as brian said get used to doing basic fades, title overlays, slo mo's, trimming, effects and rendering.

I hate the color correcting in vegas, premiere has the power of photoshop in it haha.

But yea I dont use it very much, but I would recomend on getting some Magic Bullet stuff for it, buying or finding whatever you choose. Personally I like the magic bullet mojo.
