when i see somebody who agrees with some aspects of the war, is pro choice, allows same sex marriage, allows the death penalty, is hard on illegal immigration, has a good environmental policy, protects the second ammendment (to an extent, few limits), doesnt like universal health care, and some other random things i dont feel like listing, that will be the day. yeah im weird.

you can say whatever you want but when you support a drug addict to be president i see something really wrong with you...

that's one of the most asinine things i've ever heard. i don't really support obama, but he sure as hell isn't a drug addict. and on top of that, i'd rather a drug addict as a president than someone who doesn't believe in evolution. we already have an idiot an office, the country doesn't need another one.

and what does the fact that obama smoked weed and did some coke 30 have to do with his political views? if anything i'd be more inclined to vote for him seeing that he actually has some real world experience. drugs don't make you a bed person, but not believing in evolution, therefore being a gullible moron, makes you a bad leader.

evolution is not a proven fact. 500 years ago people thought the world was flat. 50 years ago people thought that the atom was the smallest thing in the universe until they split it open and found all kinds of junk. all of the scientific "facts" that we have in our science books will be totally obsolete in 50 years and people will look back and ask how we could believe such nonsense.

and the real world expierence you are talking about, i would rather have a president that believes in truly beleives in something and is willing to stand by it at the expense of his reputation then have a guy who grew up in harlem and fried half his brain.

i...i....i don't even know where to start. just because a president stands by his beliefs doesn't make them good, because his beliefs are fucking nutty.

and cody, why in the hell do you oppose universal healthcare?

you've got alot of views that conflict with each other politically, so good luck finding a candidate that supports all of them. go with ron paul.

and ricky, do some research. obama said he did weed or coke. neither fry your brain or have any negative permanent effects. sorry. and you don't support him because he grew up in harlem? you just like those racist, bible belt evangelicals that are batshit crazy.

that is true, i am from the bible belt and im not going to lie, i am a little predjudice, but who isn't? obama (i know that dan is going to flip about this) is going a little beyond the radical left and is venturing into socialism. he is anti-property rights, he wants to raise taxes to redistribute the wealth that people worked hard to get, and has spent his whole political career at war against the foundations of American liberty.
and some of the greatest presidents of all time were bible belt evangelicals that are batshit crazy
ex. washington, lincoln, adams, rooselvelt, etc. so clearly they are doing something right

Alot of those cons are pretty damn stupid. Universal healthcare would never cause doctors to want to close their practice, thats ridiculous. If the government gives incentives like for helping people to quit smoking they should be paid more, just like they are in france, and most other countries with universal healthcare. There is absolutely no point for insurance companies either, not too much of an explanation is needed for that, fuck insurance companies. Those cons are really ridiculous, look at norway, france, and any other country with universal healthcare, they all LOVE it and would never want to go back. Decrease patient flexibility? My ass, you can go wherever you want, which means MORE flexibility. I think not want universal healthcare is ridiculous, but I could see why greedy ass americans wouldn't want to pay higher taxes just so others can get healthcare. Actually, I can't, because thats fucking dumb.

so for universal health care, you want to put a shit load of people out of jobs and give higher taxes to those who already have trouble paying taxes? not all people are greedy like you are making it sound, so many people in this country just flat out could not afford the extra taxes. and i hope you arent saying that all insurance companies, not just health, are bad. i will agree with you that some of the arguments are ridiculous, but the cons still outweigh the pros to me.

we have a greater level of people in poverty than those other countries, we have a pretty diverse range of wealth from people who are wicked poor to people who are wicked rich. in those other countries, im not saying it is only, but it is mostly a pretty solid middle class who can all afford. at this point in time a good chunk our country just cant afford it.

thats why there needs to be increased government spending on it so those who are not so lucky can afford it.

its good to see that someone is taking the heat..and this time it looks like dan is arguing with someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

good luck cody, im backing you all the way. i don't wanna pay higher taxes because some retard can't pay for insurance..my taxes are already to high
