If you pay attention in your history classes, you'll see that people have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years, so it's probably not going to happen.

Haha, yeah, somebody predicted 06/06/06 (6/6/6) as the end. Nothing happened.
Some christians have beleived when 2000 hits, then everything would blow up. It didn't.

Earth is about 4-5 billion years old and it's gonna stay for another 4-5 billion years,
so don't worry about dying before Earth does.

The thing someone said about the water, not gonna happen. The amounts of water in the air that would be needed for that big of a flood would stop us from breathing before it would rain. That's how they disproved the Noah's Ark thing. I know the sun isn't going to be the problem. If the sun were to fail right now, as I am typing this, I know I would not die from it. The sun is light years away, tons of light years, and we will have light and heat until those years pass.

Jake, you said the only way would be if the sun became a red giant, but our sun is way to young for that, it has probably millions of years until it even gets close to going out. I think chances are the world will end because of a nuclear war or something.

its only halfway through its life cycle. its still got another 50-100 billion years to go before it burns out.

Yeah, either way we have way longer than we need to worry about.

so much wrong with that. i'm not a crazy traditional christian, but noah's ark hasn't been disproven. that's just bullshit.

if the sun "failed", which won't happen, you would realize it pretty quick. you obviously don't know what a light year is, since light emitted from the sun reaches earth in a matter of minutes. not light years, not tons of light years. minutes.

Yeah, the sun's around 96 million miles away, and the light gets here in about 8 minutes. Many of the stars you see, on the other hand, could be gone since it takes the light so long to get here.
