(~ = infinity)

1/3 = .333~

One third is equal to .333 repeating.

__________

1/3 x 3 = 1

One third mulitplied by three equals one.

__________

.333~ x 3 = .999~

.333 repeating multiplied by three is equal to .999 repeating.

__________

Therefore 1 is equal to .999~

A = B

A x C = D

B x C = D

I'm sorry dividing and multiplying single didgit numbers is hard for you.

Have a cookie.

Thanks for letting me know that the world cares so much about you that you just had to tell us you are retarded.

Thanks <3

actually .333~ is not a accurate number even if it is repeating. 1/3 is the exact number. So .999~ doesn't equal to 1 because it'll always e short of 0.001 or 0.0000000...000001 and more repeating that zeros.

i asked my math teacher today.

she said that it is true, and its proven and whatnot. She said we are learning about it next year in course 2 and how to apply it and junk idk. She said its in our textbook.

but that is soooo cool dude seriously. haha it just seems so weirdish but its rad.

Black holes are where God divided by zero.

My teacher showed us this thing with logarithms that made it so 2 is greater than 3, but turns out he was lying and didn't make something negative that needed to be.

1/~ = 0

theres lots of stuff like that...
moreover its like that:

maths - 1/0=... you're not allowed to do it!
physics - 1/0=~
programming - 1/0=error 200:division by zero

And for those who dont understand the topic:

There's no such a small number (besides 0) that would give 1 added to 0.(9) so that also proves that these numbers are equal.
