a brake that stops too easily and fast, much like over tightened bicycle brakes

For a long time i never thought id make a thread about such a stupid thing, but its ridiculous. Im riding stock brakes (i dont know if it makes a difference) and there's many times my brake is over sensitive or something. I'll do a manual and i gently tap the brake and my scooter practically stops, or in fakie, as soon as i tap it i fly backwards as the scooter stops abruptly. I know many of my friends also seem to have this weird problem that just comes up out of nowhere, or comes and goes.THE BRAKE DOESN'T EVEN SEEM TO BE BENT. It doesnt matter how loose or tight the brake is, it just is that way. Why would this be, how could I fix it, would a blade solve it?

sorry for massive paragraph but this has been bothering me for as long as ive been riding

Not sure how to stop this but im sure cut stock brakes are more prone to doing this than un-cut stocks.

it is pro brakes. blade brakes let you slit a bit while still stopping you when you want. and it if try to flat spot a wheel on a blade brake it is literally impossible.

just shim it between the spring and the brake with a bearing and glue it...that will allow it to sit higher

not even close to the brake or whatever. Like i said it doesnt matter where it is, or how tight or loose it is. It doesnt matter

It's the urathane on your wheel. I've had the same problem for ever. I switched my back wheel to harder urathane and it's fine.

or you might be riding a 110mm wheel, less clearance to the brake.

when i rode a blade brake it gave me flat spots like no other, i hated it. pro brakes seem to be perfect for me.

im riding a green machine, which is pretty much as hard as it gets, but the urethane sucks and rubs off on the brake doing an occasional hillbomb or manual a big hill. The brake does the same with A wheels.... which are totally different. Could it actually be the wheel?
