A question.

If I wanted to get a SCS for my bars that have a standard clamp on them would I have to buy bars without slits or can I keep them for the SCS?

Just cut the slit off or put an old fork tube in there

If your bars are standard size, then you can use them with a SCS. However, you will need to either cut the slit off your bars, or shove an old fork tube up the bars so they don't compress at the slit. An SCS adds about 2in anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem to cut your bars. The fork tube isn't suggested, but it's an option if you want higher bars for some reason.
