ABEC 7'S

im runnin abec 5's right now and im wonderin if abec 7's are worth $35 australian?. i am runnin 2 razor pro wheels but im soon getting a yak 100mm for the front as they seem good. what size are the stock razor pro wheels? 110mm?

Just use a 100mm razor pro as back wheel.
Stock Bearings are good enough. not worth $35 to get a little tiny bit more speed.

Stock razor wheels are 98mm and just stick with stock pro bearings. they're good as. And yeah get a yak for the front. they are good front wheels

The abec number stands for how long it took to make the bearing. everyone is pretty much right though stock razor pro bearings are good, infact there the same exact thing as bones reds (7 ball stainless steel bearings with 2 removable shields) if you clean them that is.

there not the same bones have a nylon retainer stocks only have a steel retainer wich creates more friction making them slower ... if ur scooters too slow for u ur better off geting faster wheels

Hey,

ABec is a industrial norm that tell you nothing more then the space between the balls and the inner and outerrings.
The higher the number, the more precize the bearing is.....
BUT IT TELLS NO S.HI.T ABOUT THE QUALITY..!!! its only a tollerance norm.
So IF you make for example a bearing out of wood with the same gradations as Abec 7 then you can call it abec 7 but I'm affraid that a wooden bearing will not work that well............
Then if you have a abec 7 or 9 bearing and you jump some stairs a few times, then the bearings will be Abec 3 or less, because the impact of jumping will make that the precission will be less and less

Better get some bearings made out of HIGH GRADE metals, that will make that the bearing stays in shape longer and will keep running smoothly

Yeah, whatever, like you really need bearings for speed, you have to learn how to boost etc.

lol, go buy a skateboard from walmart, and put the bearings in your scoot, then tell me bearings don't make a difference

Yeh, Olsen726 is right!! offcourse not all bearings are the same. Absolutly not.

You can boost your stock bearings by removing the metal shield on one side out of the bearing (if you have bearings with metal shields).
Allways put the bearing back in the wheel with the shields on the outside of the wheels!!

After opening the bearing rinse them with gasoline or something like that to remove the standard added grease.
Then clean and dry them well and use TEFLON OIL (pTFE) to lubricate them again.

You will see the bearings will run much faster and smoother........(well not as smooth as grease but grease will slow the bearing down a lot !!)

When U use oil then you need to maintain the bearings more often because oil will not stick in the bearings as long as grease.....but hey...you want faster bearings or not...
NEVER USE SILICON OIL OR GREASE this will make your bearing will not last that long because all dirt sticks to the silicone!!!

hahaha i brought 16 abec 9 bearnigs for 40 bucks Made for agressive inline riding so they can handle some beating
works so nice.

I use 1,5 dollar bearings and im sure mine are better !! ;-) HAHAHAHA

You should just buy titanium bearings from http://www.c4scooters.com
They are a little challenging to install onto metalcore wheels, but it's really worth it.
