? about crown race on sr fork

when it goes on does it just chill there on that peice or do you have to like get it on there so it dosn't move?

ight. does it have to be on that peice completley or just snug on it? would i better off haveing my bike shop do it when i get the cups installed?

Here's what I did. I got an old headtube and put it in my clamp thing, then put the fork with the crown on inside the headtube. Then I got a piece of wood and put it against the inside of the fork (between the legs) and hit it with a hammer.

But you might as well get the bike shop to do it if they can.

You gotta play with it for awhile. It took me awhile to get mine down, one side kept popping off when i would get the one down

Do this, it works. You don't have to worry about one side popping off either.

i just like slid mine on to were it was kinda uneven you know half the race was on and half off and i just hammered it with a rubber mallet until it was nice and even it works but be patient and do it right!

if you dont mind having to kepp tightning it, put iton a little then ride for a bit then tighten then ride then tighten and it will get pushed on
