what size metal do you need to fit into both the holes

1 1/8 id for the steer tube aluminum with a 1/8 wall and a 7/8 od with a 1/16 wall for the crossbar made out of chromoly steel

no 1 1/8 OD for tubing for down tube cause ada clamp is 1 1/8 ID

and 7/8 OD for croosbar

no no to make your own buff you have to do this

you buy some metal (cromoly is what i sugest) http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=7341&step=4&showunits=inches&id=250&top_cat=197 and you take an old fork steer tube and cut it off teh fork. renforces it. then put it into teh stemm and bolt it. then put them stem and fork tube that are now bolted toghter inot the metal. and bolt it. then you have some barrs.

you have to do this because the inside of teh ada stems are 1 1/8 and the fork tube is 1 1/8 so its impossible to get metal that will fit

if u bought the 1 1/8 steertube. you would need to remove the thread of the fork for it to fit on.. am i right?

they also come in 1 3/8 ID, I think its for boxer scooters or something?
