Adult (23) Looking For Scooter

Its difficult haha. Zero indoors so its pretty hard to ride most of the time, I suppose you could ride the vancouver skate plaza when it rains but you'll probably get stabbed lul

I longboarded there for a few months and had a few instances of my board slipping out from underneath me as if I was on ice.
Does the same hold true for scooters?

I can only imagine it's the same, if not WORSE since we're on 2 thin wheels as opposed to four flat wheels.

I haven't really had any porblems with that unless your actually riding on ice lol

I'm 6'3 and the parts that hunter described are exactly what I am currently riding. Get those and you will be in good hands for a long time.

these parts would best suit you. The price may seem high but you get what you pay for,
these parts all come in a variety of colors aswell.

Alright I've just gone through all these and I've realized that even if I order everything I don't have any tools/idea on how to assemble everything.

Are there any completes that you'd recommend for me to ease this process?
Or are there any guides you could provide for assembling all these parts? What about things like lubricant etc..?

EDIT: Just priced everything here for a hefty $738 after shipping. Which is fucked.
Let's look at some completes then I guess.

I guess get whatever scooter, just make sure the deck is atleast 21" or 22" long and the bars are a suitable height (e.g. 26" or 28" tall or whatever floats your boat.)

you cant get many "out of the box" completes with those sized parts so you should probably get a base scooter to start off with and change the certain parts to your size.

Would you be able to show me ANY that come in these sizes?
I can't seem to find any.

And by "Base Scooter" are you referring to a full complete that I'd have to swap out the bars on?
What would be an example of a complete that you'd recommend based on what we've discussed in the thread thus far?

Heres a complete scooter I would suggest built by the best brand and it's cheap. Only part Worth upgrading is the wheels. http://www.freewebstore.org/tsiwebstore/Create_a_Complete/p896033_11244938.aspx

Christ I don't know why I didn't see this before. I've been on the TSI site for the past day.

Thanks for the recommendation, This is looking really solid so far.

A few questions though:
- This comes with HIC, is it possible to switch over to SCS if I ever needed to? WOULD I ever need to?
- How much of an upgrade is the threshold v2 from the threshold (that appears to come on this complete)
- Some reviewer mentioned something about riders coming into his shop with broken thresholds but the v2 has essentially solved all those problems.

Will most likely ride this until something goes wrong / I'm able to learn more about upgrading.

Thanks so much for the recommendation man, really appreciate all the help I've gotten so far.

Ok 1 yea it is possible to switch to scs but you may need to cut the fork a little bit or run spacers.
2 this complete comes with a threshold v3 if one would say because they have the different front nose blunt plate with holes in it if I were you I would get the one with the danholm sig deck because it is bigger and is better for you because it's longer and has more foot space. The only upgraded from v1 to v3 is the brake it comes with and how they weld the deck internally.
3 yes it did solve the problem I have a thresh v2 I've had for almost 2 years but has a crack from grinding down the front so much but it's still going strong.

thevaultproscooters.com has some good completes that are decent prized and the bars should be big and also big decks

but yeah anyway what i meant when i said earlier about a base complete

i meant buy something such as a Phoenix Session Complete ( http://www.qcscooters.com/product-p/phxcomplete4.5x20in.htm ) or an AO Delta Complete ( http://www.scooterscanada.ca/collections/completes/products/ao-delta-complete-scooter ) as a template for your setup, and just change the Bars and Deck to your preferred sizes.

Being 23 and 6'+ tall, id say a 22" long deck would probably work out best for you (e.g. Phoenix Reventon V2 http://www.qcscooters.com/product-p/4.65rev.htm ) as well as 27" or so tall bars. (not too sure if you can get that height of bars in canada)

it should come in at a better price depending on what you get as factory completes generally come fairly cheaper than customs, but if you prefer to just create a custom setup then that should work for you too.

I think your best bet for a semi cheap setup that's strong reliable and looks good is the tsi complete.

Yeah thanks for your help guys.
I'm in the process of ordering the TSI complete now and I'll just progress from there when the time comes.

Thanks for all the support here guys, really appreciate it.
Hopefully can return the favour someday.
