airouts are weird at first if you're used to launching kickers and stuff. what you have to do, is ride up the QP with moderate amount of speed, and jumpright before you hit the coping. the steeper the ramp, the less force you wanna use when jumping out of the ramp. if you pull off too hard on a steep ramp, you'll fly back out to the flat. when you're in the air, just turn yourself 180 and aim your nose end down. try to keep your scooter at the same angle as the landing, or you'll either loop out and smack the back of your head, or nosedive, and smack your face. it takes practice, so as someone said, gradually work your way up to higher airs.
