Almost the same thing as paint thinner. I think alcohol and paint thinner work the same, the alcohol might just take a little longer to clean the bearings. I can't stand the smell of paint thinner and my dad gets pissed if i pour it down the drain outside my house because somehow its gonna start a fire... haha, so i just use rubbing alcohol.

yep thats what i use.

i just gas it and wipe it then put some 3 in 1 in it and it cleans it really well.

because its a degreaser, you already got rid of the old grease with the gas, so itd be no use. 3 in one is the best, or high grade engine oil
