Yes, get some pvc or piping that's longer and a little bit wider than your forktube and beat your crown race in with it

I consider "the crown race is hard to install" a positive - unless you're using ghetto tools. Are you guys slamming the Park Tool Crown Race Setter on the race, like it's a slide-hammer, like in all the youtube videos on scooters?

Using a hammer and holding the fork in your hand (don't put the fork on the ground) with the P.T. Crown Race Setter Tool is a magical experience.

I'm getting the PROTO Senior (is it pronounced like a friend who speaks Spanish, or do you pronounced it like your last year in High School?) Fork, because it's so beef. This honest review helped with my decision, thank you.

My scs goes on fine my bearing race Isint too hard to get on and my sleds aren't sloppy, plus mine has no surface rust u love my seniors lol best forks ever!!!
