Any closeted scooter riders here?

all i do on facebook is talk to scooter pals, share rad scooter videos and make status about scootering. A majority of my pictures are of me and my pals scootering. If you are friends with me on facebook you will notice scootering is a big part of my life. 90% of what i post on instagram is related to scootering. i dont see how its possible to hide the fact that you scooter if you actually call your self a scooter rider.

It's not really like that for me, I live in a relatively small surf-town so nobody has ever really seen a scooter other than a razor a model so when people see a 6 foot tall guy riding or doing tricks on a scooter they just instanly think its wack. Just a few weeks ago I was riding home with kushfart and some 30 year old guy outside of a CVS got mad at us and told us to get skateboards. I'd just rather avoid the old "I love to scooter, its what I do, its really cool, people do gnarly tricks on them and grind hand rails" conversation

idk what i am to be honest. It feels that biking here is taking me down a bad road and skating feels awkward and scootering is fun but its expensive af haha

literally every kid under 14 here has a scooter and everyone thinks its gay for older kids to ride em. Fuck it imma take a crash course in handrails or other gnarly shit and go to the local spot where the scary mexican kids skate and shred haha

fucking ride your scooter and if somebody finds out and isnt your friend anymore they were never your friend... and if your afraid to that your a straight bitch it dosnt matter if people find out all my friends are skaters and they treat me like a skater you just have to be chill and not be a scooter faggot

lol is this really a thread? if you like scootering ride a scooter who is to tell you how to live your life, i live in a city where i'm the only scooter rider pretty much i just ride with the skaters and shit and they don't talk shit, if your passionate about something you do (scootering in all of our cases) a pretty good skateboarder is the same way and if you see the things you do in the same way then you will be friends with them probably, school is a whole different story most of the kids last year skated and are hooked up by huf and shit so no one scooters at my school, everyone knows i scooter it's not something i'm embarrassed of or anything, but it is school so people dont get that shit because it's something different and out of peoples comfort zones and shit to be different (why most of the kids that rode in 8th grade are quitting going into high school) me going to be a senior now i learned not to give a shit and went through most of high school with people bashing on me and getting shit for it you learn not to give a shit and be your fucking self people tend to like you better that way

That's pretty much what I'm doing. It's also a huge part of my life. The only problem is that there are so many haters. At least over here in my hometown. These are mostly the bmx riders, girls or just some random dudes who haven't finished basic school... I'm always trying to be chill with everyone, but I'm so tired of listening such things as "oh you're riding a kids toy?" or "what? you're riding a scooter? that's gay af". Just talk to me like a normal person and if you don't like the shit I'm doing then just get the fuck out of here and don't talk to me. I really feel like those people who don't like that you scooter shouldn't be your friends.

if your embarrassed to do it then dont fucking do it. this is whats hurting riding kids being pussies about what other people think and making scooters look dumb. just dont be the typical dumb scooter kid at the skate park and dont get into anybodies way and most likely nobody will say shit because there is nothing to talk shit about. people are starting to get over scooters because they know they are going to be at the skatepark. so if your not the typical dumbass kid getting in the way there is nothing for anybody to say to you
