Anyone Actually Ride WITHOUT Music?

I have never ever ridden with music before and don't plan on it. And I agree with Blake about other people who do it haha. You don't just go to the skatepark to constantly ride, you go to hang out with people, ride, and have fun with your friends. Be an extrovert.
And yesterday one of my friends threw a fit when his brand new ipod smashed because he looped out. Like, honestly? It's going to happen. I just think it's stupid that people would ever have their ipods at the skatepark.

Now something different is if someone brings speakers. Then its just awesome.

Yeah I cant ride with music in my ears. I have to hear whats happening around me.
I could probably ride with some earphones around my neck if they were loud enough.

I ride with music alot becuase i dont want to the annoying kids at my park asking me a million questions and it makes you have alot more fun just sherdding listening to some chill music. I mean i dont ride with music if im trying to have a conversation with somebody ill just take them off but riding with music is amazing. I dont need to hear when i ride i use my eyes to see lol. I understand it might help to hear people coming but most of time you dont need to do that. I love listening to some chill dubstep and trying new stuff it actually helps. I still talk to people at the skatepark, it doesnt make you unsocial. Either way it doesnt matter if you ride with or without headphones.
And my skatepark has music playing out of speakers on light poles like the ones you see in my sig picture from 12 to 8pm so i have to listen to music in my headphones or i have to here shitty radio music. But my park stays open intill 11pm so its not all the time.

Im the kind of person thats almost always listening to music but I just cant do it when I ride. People say just listen to stuff that flows with your style, make a playlist specifically for riding, and Ive tried all that but music just distracts me when I ride.

That sucks try other try other headphones that are meant for sports.
And idk maybe its not for everyone but it works for me.

Everyone has stuff that works for them like Devin said. Some people kill it with headphones on, but cant focus without the music. Its the opposite for me though. If I have earphones in, I pay too much attention to the song and not riding and I cant help it. Im fine if its playing through a stereo or something though.

i ride with music and dont mind it because sometimes while im doing something ill zone out of the music and focus and sometimes i flow to the song. i used to ride without music, but that was when i was horrible

It's become too much of a habit for me, I can only properly ride with music, but need headphones, and the talking issue, well if I talk to someone I get put down so I dont really have to worry!
