anyone who knows about cars

not for 15 year olds
but does anyone on here know if a scion TC is a good car?? like good meaning fast, has a good engine and shit
cuz i got about 13000 to spend and im looking at either a eclipse with a v6 turbo engine, celica, possibly a honda civic SI, Scion TC, Infiniti G35, or an acura RSX

so does anyone know of anyone whos got a TC? cuz so far that car comes up at every dealer i go to... all i know about the car is it has a v4.. so not much
i honestly do not give a shit on how reliable it is just how fast

Scions are okay. You're better off going with the G35 or 350Z if you can find a good deal on one. And The tC only has an inline 4 available, whereas the Infiniti and 350Z have identical V-6's. Both cars are good for 0-60 in the low 5 second range.

Hahaha getting R32's R33's and especially R34's is next to impossible in America. You can import them in California for a pretty penny and that's about it. You might get lucky and find one for sale somewhere though. And they're right hand drive :[

my friend had a acura rsx with a vtec and it hauled ---, but the car is sh!t without a vtec.
the honda civic would be alot better than the scion, cuz it has a stock ivetc dohc which is great.. idk much about g35's but ik there pretty fast, and they sound really sweet stock. but if i werer u and i could find a g35 for cheap i would get it, or the civic si.
but i would forget about the TC.
that same friend that had the rsx traded it in for a new civic si and he loves it, and it moves pretty fast for stock too!

v4? lol....

Scion is made by Toyota, so yes chances are they are pretty good cars and probably have pretty good motors. With the price of gas and the fact that its never going down I would never invest in anything larger than 4 cylinders unless you are towing stuff.

scions were built to be cool looking commuter cars (thats the point of their advertising), so no theyre not powerful fast.

what andrew said youll be spending so much on gas you might as well get some used 4 cylinder rice burner.
unless you plan on racing it or something.

A CIVIC SI IS NOT 13000 its like 20 plus tax. they made the interior like a race car shits madd $.
and acuras are all over 25 grand
actually all those cars are way over 13
the only thing youre gonna find for that much is something used or tiny commuter like a yaris.

Once you guys start driving you'll realize that you don't always want a fast car, especially like Andrew said with the high gas prices. I'd go with the TC, I've never heard bad things about them and I'm sure it's pretty quick.

i'll have my 03 gti 1.8t soon enough. gonna drop some cash on a gt350r turbo on it, prolly get a blow off valve too for that extra ssssss when i shift. not that anyone is gonna hear it with deathcore blasting.

you could get a 03 gti with 13 grand. i'd go with the 300zx or 240sx if that were my pricce range though.

That will also be the first car that you wreck so remember that. $18grand down the drain. I wouldn't spend more than $1,500-2,000 on your first car. You will abuse it and break it no matter how good you think you are with cars.

thanks for the help
my friends like a car phanatic(spelling?) and he said i should go with the g35 but they have v6 so they kill gas, but also a rsx type s are really good too, i would get a si but my friend has one and im not into civics cuz everyone has a fucken civic and it doesnt stand out, scions are slow according to him but have really nice interior which is why i might get it
there isnt any good eclipse's around my area with the engine i want

so basically im looking at a TC, rsx, g35, or a evo possibly

if the scion tc manuel car i wanted is in tomorrow ill probably end up buying it just cuz i dont feel like waiting any longer and the condition the car is in is really good only 10,000 miles, its a 07 and its already got a good spoiler

btw civic si's arent that expensive i already have been showed to 3 that were under 13 000, all had less that 40 000 miles and were 06 and up but unfortunately i hate the look on the new civic si, their gay looking

and a r32 or r 33 is never going to happen
i know a lot about cars and i have never seen one and personally i think their ugly as fuck anyways
