i looked up how to install bike headsets but i still don't get it how come there is a top screw on the headset? do you take that off?

No dude, get the Cane Creek S-1, I have it (looks kinda different) but it's seriously the smoothest headset ever, second to a King (according to Andrew). I tighten that thing down as hard as I can and it's still super quiet and super fast.

Conor, that bolt and cap on the top are for bikes, you don't use them at all on scooters (well at least now). They're the compression system for bikes.
