baby scs question

-How deep do you have to insert the starnut in your fork?
-Does it matter if you cut the fork a bit to much then you have to?
-Could the bars have a .5 inch slit or does it have to have no slit?

If anyone knows the answers to these questions could you please comment below.

- As long as both flanges are hammered below the top of the fork it should be fine.
- It is okay to cut it a little shorter just don't cut it too much or the clamp won't have enough to hang onto. I would say if it somewhere around a 1/4" shorter that is fine but no more than that.
- You might be able to get away with a .5" slit but I wouldn't recommend it. If you are trying to get a little extra height out of your bars and you have to leave some of the slit at least put and old piece of fork tube inside the bars so when it all clamps it doesnt bend in at the slits.

Should be everything.
