I've been thinking about that for a while, but I don't know what will fit and what won't, because most of the bmx seatpost clamps are a bit different from each other depending on brand I think... I'm not sure though, I just need to know which ones work and which ones don't so I don't spend my money on something that doesn't fit.Brian Boston said:Look around and see if anyone uses a BMX clamp on their scooter for that clamp, im pretty sure people do. You could just do that
1 1/4" worksJoe Trainer said:well for the bmx seat post clamps, i ordered a 1 1/8" one and it ended up being too small... so maybe try a 1 1/4" clamp, but first i would ask around cuz if it doesnt fit it will just cost u some good money

Dre said:no, I'm talking about the clamp on the t-tube which helps the bars stay on the forks lol.
that's wierd, I brought the bolt in to the hardware store and I tried to match it up, and it seemed right but when I tried to put it into an m6 nut, it didn't work...eric magray said:the bolt is 6mm thread.....technically speaking i think its called M6. ask someone who works at a hardware store for an M6 threaded bolt in the length and type you need, theyll know what your talking about
or the easy was is to just bring a clamp to there and test fit some bolts
thanks, I'll try that. A replacement bolt would be better, but if worst comes to worst I'll spend the extra cash and buy a seatpost clamp.eric magray said:1 1/4" worksJoe Trainer said:well for the bmx seat post clamps, i ordered a 1 1/8" one and it ended up being too small... so maybe try a 1 1/4" clamp, but first i would ask around cuz if it doesnt fit it will just cost u some good money
yeah, I just sorted out the problem today. It turns out that my old bar clamp bolt that I was using to test out new bolts in the hardware store was kinda messed up, and the threads were sorta stripped. m6 is the right one by the way.eric magray said:then im probably wrong, and thats weird cause i have an m6 tap and i tapped a hole with is and the bolt fit perfectly
