Bars&Forks

I got rad bars froma friend and had to cut the slit and everytime i do the smallest of trick it goes unalligned.
I tightened the both bolts in my double clamp and still moves so i bolted the bars and forks with a small screw not more then an inch but my forks snapped from doing a truckdriver.
Any cheap easy suggestions on how to aviod this problem.
I think im just going to order a half knuckle because i dont have too much money.

oh yeah i guess i forgot to write i tightened both bolts in the double clamp as tights as it can go..
should i cut the slit bigger?
ok dont bolt them and the reason they probably snaped was because the bolt created an opening and the clamp probably cracked it and the truck driver snapped it

yea drilling it just created a major weakspot. double clamps dont work as well on cromoly bars because they have to bend in so much. the half knuckle will work much better than a regular double clamp.

yea. but for now try taking a soda can and cutting it down to use as a shim in between your bars and clamp
