Bars with a slit in scs?

is it possible if i get a set of bars with a slit put a thick shim inside the bars then put them in my scs, do you guys think that would work, since i have bars but i wanna ride bars that are a little higher so if i do this i wouldn't have to cut them. what do you guys think?

yea if you have an old fork cut the tube 2 inches and stick it in

i rode like this for a while and it works
