bars wont fit in scs

i just got an scs yesterday and i cant fit my bars into the shim inside the scs. my bars are standard and i tried to stretch the scs with a coin and it didnt work what am i doing wrong?

my friend and i tried from 3 till 6 lat night and ive been trying all morning today my bars are too small for me anyway so i might just buy some oversized bars.

Tell is what scs you have and what bars you have

Sand the paint off the part that goes into the scs, it helps Alot... And stretch the top of the clamp

i have grit bars and a proto scs we hammered the bars into the shim and scs but the sc was so stretched that the bolt woudnt get to the threads on the other side now i cant even take my bars off cuz theyre jammed in the scs.

Put a flat head screw driver in the slit in the clamp and pry/twist while your friend pulls your bars... THEN sand the paint off your bars where they go into the clamp... And lube your bars/clamp

i dont really have a dad but the bot that attatches to the starnut is looe so it makes it harder to get the bars out.

Off topic but people NEED TO STOP BUYING GRIT PARTS!!!!!! They suck. I mutilated a pair of bars trying to tighten them up at scooterzone. Like literally mutilated.
