Happened to me once, double bars with 18 wide. Bar to the side of my thumb and bruised it. Other than that once with a double bar, never happens to me.

When you catch ur bars with half of ur hand on it and half off so that the middle of ur hand is on the rock hard barend. It hurts like hhhheeeelllllllllllllllllllll
