It was PVC pipe insulation i think, it's foam. I don't have it anymore though lol.

no, opposite bars are opposite to whatever is natural to you. same with whips, spins, etc.

I've raised them since, because yeah they started to hurt, and now i keep growing so i need to raise them again haha.
