The IS voting was 100% legit. I was part of the nominating/voting. The people that voted actually have brains too, unlike 90% of the userbase on this website.

The SR awards are legit, although I'm not happy with the best photo rules this year... kinda dumb IMO, maybe someone on the staff should pitch in and throw in the work to allow more photos to be nominated instead of some of the trash that happened to make it to the POTW.

It's just easier for us because that way we can actually choose nominees. Same thing with SOTY, if there weren't certain scooters to choose from every little kid would be putting up their scooter and we wouldn't be able to choose a few for the actual voting. Your idea might work if there were more than two people who actually moderate the site.

As for saying that Proto is gonna win, if they do that's because a lot of people on here like Proto. The other site where the IS awards happened doesn't like Proto, which is why they weren't even nominated. Same thing.

Bro, threadless has been ran on bikes for decades. Proto DID NOT invent threadless. They didn't invent forks either. If you want to be technical, Ricky and I were making a solid bolted double arm fork out of Razor B1 suspension forks long before SR made a fork with the exact same design, just welded instead of bolted together. And to my knowledge, Razor made the first metalcore, but Micro made the first legit riding metalcore.
Just a little history for you, haha.

And eagles have been made before they made the scooter-specific urethane.

yeah it was bad wording. i meant eagles were the first ones to be readily available on almost every store, tons of colors, spokes, stuff like that. i didnt mean they were the first ever. and by proto invented threadless i meant that proto invented the ability to run threadless forks, bars, and headsets efficiantly on a scooter.

Haha, was thinking the same thing.

Conpression systems on a scooter are the exact same thing as a bike, ours is just a bit more complex to install since no companies parts come with a default length bolt, welded in "starnut" (like a bike fork), and all of that.

Once companies decide to make all compression systems compatible with every single fork/bar by having a starnut pre-installed like a bike fork. I will consider threadless somewhat of a joke. It could be so much more legit.
I'm sure companies will all have default forktube lengths, pre-installed, etc down the road. But since aftermarket parts are still fresh in our sport. Every company is doing their own thing with different tube lengths, etc.
