vertx smx. tilt forks top cap and threads get fucked up to easily and anything vertx is amazing.

This is just a stupid statement. I rode my Tilt fork for 6 months without it getting messed up in any way, then I sold it and it is still fine. No problems with the cap or threads. My new one I have had for like 4 months and it is still fine, no problems at all.

Your friends do not know how to use a fork then. The only way that can happen is if you are an idiot.

I got myself banned.
kinda old thread, but epic forks are like top of the line. 10 offset, perfect, never bends, nothing.

Alu is not the way to go get cromo. With alu the intergrated spacers get indents from the inner ring of the bearings and slow the bearing and break them also when you get the indents you can't tighten your fork. But this takes awhile it took my fork a year so just get any crimp fork.

TSI Thomcat is 100% what you want. The design of the fork uses a single bolt as an axle that threads directly into the right fork leg, effectively making a 1 piece axle that stays solid 24/7. That and it being made out of chromoly make it the perfect fork for a street rider or a any rider who likes having a solid fork.

The first time I snapped a fork I almost ate shit -because it snapped at the fork tube- I wouldn't reccomend learning that lesson the hard way.
