Biggest problem I've had with my scooter. help

Ok, so the problem is that I've tightened my FID bar and Fid fork together as always. But when I wanted it of, then the screw from the ICS just kelped spinning and no matter how much I tried to pull out the screw, it wouldn't work. I tried with an electric screwdriver, while my friend was pulling in the bar as much as he could. It only got loose a little bit. I think that the starnut didn't grip right in the bars, so it's spinning around. But then, why the f**k can't I get the screw out!
I just got my stuff today and haven't been able to scooter for 2 month. So this is emergency. Please help.
Cheers Johan

Your starnut stripped. This hasn't ever happened to me, but it's happened to a bunch of other people. What happened, is that the starnut is still grabbing the inside of your bars, but the silver threaded part on the inside of the starnut, broke away from the outside flanges (the black part of the starnut). So basically what's happening is that the threads are spinning around, still held in the bars, so your screw keeps turning with the threads, and it won't screw in or out. What you need to do, is pull the forks and bars apart, so hard, that the starnut pulls out of the bars.

This is how BK fixed it: http://vimeo.com/1258120

It happened to Brian Boston too, and he kept hitting the legs of his SR fork downward until the starnut slid out.

With aluminum bars and forks, I'd say you'd end up doing more damage than it's worth, and I would just cut the fork or bars (whichever one is less valuable) and buy a new set.

Sorry for the bad news.

I had to cut my bars and halfway through the forktube of my inward fork.

But hey, the bars I still rode for a full year and i sold the fork for 10 bucks more than I got it for to some idiot kid, so hey maybe you can get lucky.

Just do what you saw in Matt Dibbles video. Me and my dad had to speed up a couple of times before it worked. You don't need two cars. Just one. Find a place to add the fork and the bars to your car. Then it'll work fine
