i dont see it happening.

honestly its not something i know enough about to really know, but its already in asia, right? and theres no epidemic there, and we're more advanced medically than they are, so i dont see it happening here.

well i'm not really scared of it although its near (or even discovered from some bird, but i'm not sure).

Just don't eat raw eggs and if you are really scared of it, don't eat omlets although they are usually fried nicely.

I just don't understand why is this bird flu thing blown up so much?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the small areas where the birds migrational patterns overlap, aren't going to cause a fullblown epidemic.

Once it's here, you still have to realize that the only way you are affected, is if you get bitten by the bird (think rabies).

What everyone is worried about, is the amazingly fast rate of reproduction this particular virus has. And with more reproductions, there are more mutations. And everyone is worried that it will mutate into something that effects humans directly.

There were birds with flu discovered in some cities here. Ive heard that we will be pissed if the virus mutates so infected people will infect other people and its supposed to be only a matter of time. There's been a vacine made through, from what I heard.

and then 50 years from that date is another cool one!

6/6/66

one too many though. Oh well..

That will happen 60 Years from that date. (Just saying) and besides if 6/6/6 is the judgement date, why didn't it happen on June 6th 1006? I'm vaccinated from regular flu but I don't know if that counts for anything, but everyone was saying the same thing about Sars (Is that spelled right) and Foot & Mouth and other diseases but nothing really global did happen.

well on 04/04/04 (4/4/4?) i got exactly 15 years old, nice birthday. Now i'm 17 and only 328 days short from getting 18.

Yeah, i've heard of that vacine (spelling?) too, and i heard that germans are spending like a 100M bucks (maybe i'm wrong) for researching and working out some cure for bird flu.

yes, there is a vaccine, but here in the US we dont have enough for everyone. there is this 'priority list' that means that only certain people can get the vaccine. it goes:
caretakers(nurses, doctors), their children, newborns, infants ( im pretty sure thats how it went.)
i dont think everyone will need a vaccine though, if it does hit the US , this show said the people will be immediately quartantined.

i think it will be like that masquitto disease ... cant place a name on it ... but where it comes here then affects some people and every one gets all afraid .. then it dies

West Nile virus? Haha I remember that, everyone was totally freaked out. That's all people want these days, is something that they can be scared of and hate. I hate mosquitos no matter what, disease or no disease. Stupid mosquitos.
