Blunt IHC Fork Problem - HELP!

I just got the Blunt Declare IHC in the mail earlier this week and when I tried to slide my bars over it to tighten my clamp, it wouldn't go down all the way. It stops going into my bars right around where the slit ends. Do I need to make the slit longer in order for it to slide in, or is there another problem (Dully Noted Sentence...Sorry) I'm riding an Inward T bar by the way.

Sand down the shim and the inside of your bars. Or stretch your slit with a flathead screwdriver.

Well, I've already stretched out the slit so I'll try sanding the shim and inside of the bar. Thank you so much, this sounds like it should work.

dont sand the inside of the bar! that will weaken the bar.

I had the same problem, just cut a longer slit.

does there happen to be an starnut in you bars and wha kind of bars
