Blunt quad clamp

hi guys i have a question does the blunt quad clamp cover the headset bearing cups? just wondering if the flared bottom does that or is it just 4 looks

It's just for looks. IMO quad clamps are fucking stupid though. You only need a clamp as big as the slit in your bars, anything bigger will actually hurt the ability of the clamp to compress the bars onto the fork. Double clamp is all you need really.

yeah the quads are shit IMO
there ugly and i was trying to tighten this kids up the other day and the cunt just didnt tighten like it was pulled tight as it could go and it still came loose :s

must have been a defective one, tell the kid to email blunt and send it to them and he will get a replacement. also what bars did he have?

Yeah it's just for looks. I really regret getting mine now.

My top bolt in mine is rounded so it stuck on my bars. But it still comes off the fork though soo all good.

I just think the more bolts you have that's just more things to go wrong.

Exactly. If you look at a picture of one, the bottom two clamps are kind of slit so they clamp individually, and then the top two clamps are together, because the top 2 aren't even over the slit. Literally, the top two clamps provide absolutely no clamping power. It's just a big double clamp, essentially.
