I went to a hardware store this morning and picked up some bolts to lock my foldy. Here's some pics since locked New A foldies are uncommon.

Normally B and Pro models use 3 bolts, but I managed to make a reliable ride with 2. I bought a drill bit just incase, but it's perfect now.

Anyone else tried this?

yes, it has been done plenty of times. however the deck will still crack. so buy a pro model or get an old a.

I got myself banned.
Your deck is probably going to break quicker now. Do that new A deck a favor and put a b mech on it. Locking it will just give you more power to rip it off, haha.

I'm guessing it would be easier just to get a pro deck than to find a pro foldy, saw it off, unbolt mine, weld the pro model on, and slip my fork and tube on an A deck? I guess that would give me an excuse to get buff bars and an SR Fork, but then the scooter would have NO SOUL!!!111!

ive done that mod the heaqdtube is just goin to get loose and then you have to titen it ofer and over again and then it will be bent like craisy then it will crack..............

I think most of the reason of why you dont see that too often is because the foldys are thin and suck and well eventually bend and crack and.

my headtube already was loose... i think a pro would be nice about now. I'll see about the old A, i've probably got $20 and $5 for shipping parker.

allright, send me a pm about it. i will go for $15 since you will have to buy some small washers/bearing spacers so you can use the new a brake bolt on the old a. and, since your using a new a, you will have to get different sized bolts for the foldy, so you will basically have to take your whole scooter to a hardware store.
edit: or, if you want the b foldy arms? (the things that come out of the deck) instead of the old a, that will be lots cheaper to ship, but you have to have a welder.

deck will crack every time... and however tight you make those bolts... in about 10 mins of riding... its gonna start moving

then in that case, take a freaking hammer/hacksaw/throw it and do the beat you can to only break the deck, then buy my old a and get the sr fork or bars or both
