Enough is enough! I have had it with those motherfucking screws in this motherfucking folding system!

Okay, so here is the problem: since Im riding a custom deck, I need some longer screws to attach the standard b model folding mech to the deck. Last time when I was riding at the park Ive snapped one of them, now Ive been just trying to drive some new set of screws tight and Ive snapped another one JUST DRIVING IT. That leaves me also with two useless folding plates, as there are broken bits of screws in them. Ive also had the threads of the screws wear out a few times. So my question is: are there any special strong screws, and where should I look for them? Im supposing that the ones I bought in a regular hardware store were aluminium, while the ones used on Razor scooters would be steel, as they're heavier and there's no problem in driving them tight. But I think that they've only had aluminium ones in my store. Or maybe it's just that my design sucks because a longer screw is severely weaker than a short one?

grade 8, course thread is stronger than fine as well.

edit: idk if you have home depot or lowes up in poland, but pretty much any corporate hardware/home improvement store should carry them

Dude, if they would be aluminium, they would already crack when you tight your foldy down.

That's what one of them just did.

But yes, they might be steel, but just some shitty kind of it. I mean, they're neither like shiny or black. I guess Ill have to ride around some stores, I don't think that 'grade 8' would tell the guy in the store here anything, there is either a diffrent system of classification of bolts or they will have only one kind of them available, like I said. I think that they had some black bolts though, but Ive heard that they're heat resistant or something?

idk about the heat resistant but grade 8 is like the best you can get. just ask him for the strongest bolts hes got.

and the colors are just different platings for rust resistance. like the black and nickel or zinc.
