I'm perfectly fine with old A's and I have size 10-11 shoes, and I rarely land on the brake, and all I do is 180 pretty much. And they don't break much for me either, probably once a year or so, if that. So I guess it's just your style of riding or something.

You must not go that big then... Once a year? Jesus!

You don't have to take big drops to go big ;)

i hate them too, i rode them for the first 3 years i scootered, tryed out a b model and loved it, then that broke and i started riding new a b foldy and thats all ive used since. there are times when i have to ride a b model if i dont have a new a put together. old A's are WAYYYY too low to the ground, and they feel extremely weird when you land tailwhips on them? idk how but they feel really awkward to land whips with. plus the brake sticking up like 4 inches is annoying as hell. thats the first thing i noticed when i rode one the other day.

Is a new A shorter than a pro/old b? Because I'm eventually gonna make one of those, once I run out of scooters.

New is the same, if not a tinnnny bit shorter than an old A. I used to have a picture of them both lined up perfectly, don't have it anymore though.

How ironic haha.

But yeah, new A decks are about a half cm shorter than old A's, from the base of the foldy to the break, but I think a B foldy is bigger (I know wider, but longer too) and I wouldn't have it all the way forward.

ya on how wuickly you brake the scooter kinda depneds on how you ride and where you ride like say you rode parks all day it might live longer sicne the smoothness but if you ride street with bad rodes then i could see how they could die easly i broke an old a doing a tire tap in this inclined back i felt it like go lower then i kinda just stopped moving and looked back and my wheel was like 3 feet behind me !mistrust i know it's not stronger but now i irde a new a with b foldy.

I disagree. After being able to ride a pro, I think they are ultimate. Whiping was never my thing anyway. So if you like quints and stuff, I guess old A's would be cool... But meh.

I don't like whips that much and I ride old A's, I can barely f-whip and I've landed like two triples, I guess I'm just used to riding them.

I used to ride old A's and i was allways heel scraping. I hate them now. Theyre awesome for salad grinds though which are near impossible on pro models/b's.

Hmm? I know in skateboarding a salad grind is like a crooked 5-0, but I don't know how that would transfer into scooters.

I dont have a picture, but you can lock into them with the corner of old a's, but with b/pro/newa theres nothing to lock in with.

Edit: When your riding an old a or a pro, theres little or no difference when whipping them in the air. I can whip a pro just as much as an old a.
