maybe because if anything on the buff bars, maybe the ADA stem, breaks, which i dont know how it would... then this would be a good replacement part from a reliable source.

Buff Bars aren't technically available yet.
Remember when RADS first came out, a few people had them but EVERYONE wanted them, so there were people making custom bars, and Phil doing simple bars....
Or when there was a shortage on YAKS and a bunch of people switched to low pros....
I'm just saying, people have said they have bent buff bars before, and he might be switching it to chromoly or something? So they are still in testing stages with those and people have used a seatpost/t-tube mod longer than that.
Do what you need to, to get a scooter thats full of VALUE

value is pretty much just what dibble said bang for you buck...like a nice car for cheap has a better value than a nice car for a moderate price..because your getting more for the money you paid.

This is a bike stem that fits 1 1/8" forks. Buff stems fit onto 1 1/4" or wider tubes, as they're custom made by a company that also makes goped stems. I thought about making a long fork and using either a zero offset BMX stem like that one or a goped stem. The headset would be compressed with either a clamp or a thin aluminium pipe which would go over the fork (this solution would make it possible to implement some sort of a compression system).

^^^In that pic, I see a bmx stem is used to attach the bars onto the stem of the scoot. If you custom made your own stem, then you could technically use a bmx stem like the one at the top of this thread to attach bars to it, so it's not a completely empty idea..

Nah, these bars are attached to a stock stem which, youre right, is 1 1/8" wide at the top, but firstly, its too short unless you want to ride bmx bars and secondly, it's one of the worst parts of the stock scooter when it comes to durability.

Fine, find a pipe which is 1 1/4" wide at the bottom but at the other end it magically goes down to 1 1/8.

it would work if you got it and drilled it out to take the wider tube but meh, i couldnt be arsed to do it
