I know you check in every now and then.
Any comments or complaints on how we're doing?

If I had had any serious issues I would have voiced them so no, you guys are doing a great job as far as I'm concerned. Wish I could be more involved in the forum but I honestly don't ever see that happening again unless I really have something to say. I do want to get more involved with front page updates/interviews/articles and stuff but right now the business side is completely consuming me 12 hours a day 7 days a week. If you guys need anything just let me know otherwise just keep doing what you're doing. If you guys have any personal questions, comments, complaints, concerns, suggestions, etc. you can PM me and I will respond when I have time. Thanks guys!

Can I be bumped up to full admin (right now i'm under wp_author for the wordpress site) so I can change people's names and stuff? I get so many requests on facebook/here and can't do anything aboot them.

Also, glad to hear we're doing good. And proto is doing good.

^ I think thats a good idea. Theres always kids complaining about how long it takes to get their names changed.
Or a while ago there was talk about making an account that we could all log into but ONLY for things like name changing.

Hehe Scott that was my idea :3 I still reckon it should happen.

Although that would mean trusting rob to not troll and change the password every 2 days

Haha, thats the kind of problems I thought about with that idea too. I dont mean that against Rob or just him. Like if someone was pissed off at someone else for using the account more than others and started changing shit.

But I think name changing is definitely an issue on here, theres always people complaining. Maybe if the "community account" idea doesnt sound good, maybe we could just give a few more people the ability to at least change names?

I think rob can handle it, plus I think matt is capable of doing it, but hes just never on haha.

I think thats the problem. Nothing against Dibbs at all, but hes rarely on. He always pops on once in a while and says hell try to take care of as many of the names as he can, then disappears again hahaha.

I think Rob can handle it too, but its been a long ass time since any name changes have been made. It would go quicker and easier if more than one person could do it, so then it splits up the work. Im not necessarily trying to be a kiss ass and say me, but Id be down to help.

He's making more and more money off the front page every month, but no one besides him (and maybe Alex) sees any of that. When the site was free, I worked for free. For years. If the site makes money, I think there should be a benefit. I still lurk here somewhat but I keep my posting to a minimum. I could do more, I just don't. Why would I work for free if the site is making money off of my work? Without moderation, this place would go to hell and the advertisers would want nothing to do with it. By keeping it clean, you guys allow for this place to be marketable and therefore profitable. You guys just do it for free and I don't think we should.

So, in conclusion, I lurk instead.

I'll also add, I don't think Andrew is out buying sports cars or anything. I think he intends for the money to be put back into the site. What Andrew intends and what happens is usually different though. There could be a LOT of awesome content if that money was redistributed into the staff and prizes. I'm not even saying I desire having a part in that anymore, I just want to see this website at it's full potential.

I moderate, it usually looks like I am just starting problems, but I clean up all the spam threads and lock shit.

^same
and on the topic of spam bots
unapproving their posts is an easier and much lazier/proficient way to remove them as opposed to banning

banning clutters the ban list, most bots post once and die off.

I own SR.
Just to clarify: SR only made money for about 3 months over summer after which I became WAY to busy to keep up with the invoicing and updating. Said money is still sitting in the SR bank account untouched, however, it is probably going to get spent buying an SR pop up tent for SD6 to handle registration. I have an enormous amount of highly ambitious plans for SR (site remodel, implement new ad program, daily content updates, etc.) but I'm not trying to bite off more than I can chew right now and currently the other facets of my business(es) are consuming all of my time so SR is going to be on the backburner (hopefully not too much longer though). For the first time ever I am hiring qualified help at the shop to spread the work load so if everything goes according to plan I should be freed up by January (after SD6) to make moves with SR in the new year. With that being said there probably will be opportunities to make money working for SR, however, browsing a forum with permissions is not considered working in my book unless you are willing to assume more responsibilities and step up to a more managerial position (which some of you have already started doing and I greatly appreciate the dedication) or you help generate content because content is king and writing and reporting on our industry is work and will be compensated accordingly.

Questions, comments, concerns, complaints, suggestions: I'm all ears (eyes).
